CLS/SBM - Mackinac Island Policy Conference on Conviction Integrity

The Criminal Law Section is holding its Biennial Mackinac Policy Conference on June 8-10, 2017 at the Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island. The topic of this years Policy Conference is Conviction Integrity.

The Policy Conference will include sessions on: eyewitness testimony, forensic science, bad lawyering, false confessions, abusive head trauma and
personal stories from exonerees.

Scholarships are available for the Conference. To be considered for a scholarship, you must: 1) be an existing member of the Criminal Law Section; 2) register for the conference; and 3) send a one page letter, explaining your area of practice and how attending the conference would benefit you in your practice, to Opolla Brown at obrown@waynecounty.com. The scholarship includes two nights at Mission Point Resort, most meals, and
