NAPD - Excessive Sugar Consumption and Criminality: A Neurocriminological, Clinical, and Forensic Perspective

Excessive sugar consumption is a threat to human health and may contribute to adverse emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and physical health consequences. Research has also found that excessive sugar consumption may play a role in externalizing behavioral problems (e.g.,
aggression and impulsivity), including criminality.

Designed for legal professionals, this training provides attendees with an overview of excessive sugar consumption and its related causes and consequences through a neurocriminological, clinical, and forensic lens. Implications for screening and intervention will also be discussed during this training.
