27th Judicial Circuit Court of Michigan - Newago County

Circuit Court has original jurisdiction in all civil cases involving more than $25,000; in all criminal cases where the offense involves a felony or certain serious misdemeanors; and in all family cases and domestic relations cases such as divorce, paternity actions, juvenile proceedings, and adoptions.  The Circuit Court is made up of three main divisions: Criminal, Civil, and Family.

The Juvenile Division of the Circuit Court, is a division which has jurisdiction over all juvenile proceedings, emancipation of minors, and parental consent. Including but not limited to Adoption, Child Protection Proceedings and Delinquency matters.
