Create Offense of Assault on Certain Transportation Employees
HB 4918 would amend the Michigan Penal Code to add MCL 750.81g, which would make it a 5-year felony to assault certain individuals who are performing their duties as operators or employees of buses, street railway vehicles, or trains. The bill was introduced in the House on July 18, 2023.
Prohibit Sale or Possession of Xylazine
HB 4913 would amend MCL 333.7214 to make xylazine a schedule 2 controlled substance. The bill was introduced in the House on July 18, 2023.
