Registration is open for the 2026 Appellate Writing Workshop
September 30 - October 2, 2026 in Detroit
MAACS Roster Attorneys and SADO Assistant Defenders are invited to register for the Appellate Writing Workshop (AWW), an in-person, 3-day writing workshop specifically designed for criminal appellate attorneys. The AWW will be held September 30 - October 2 (Wednesday-Friday), at the SADO Offices in Detroit. The workshop is free and up to 21 hours of CLE are available. Lunch will be provided each day.
The AWW has been described by past attendees as "life-altering" and "amazing." Come and learn why! Attendees will learn new ways to think about their cases and writing, and to be a better advocate for their clients. Check out the workshop agenda, which includes a registration link.
Space is limited, so register early!
