Mitchell T. Foster won suppression of a firearm in a federal district court felon-in-possession case after successfully arguing the inventory search – following a traffic stop – was unlawful.
Michael Steinberg won a not guilty verdict in an operating while intoxicated case following a bench trial in the 43rd Judicial District Court; the prosecution neglected to ask for a lesser included offense, so the acquittal was complete.
Tiffany L. DeBruin successfully obtained resentencings for her client, who had one case at the top-end of the guidelines and a second with an upward deviation, resulting in sentences twenty months lower than were originally imposed in the 5th Judicial (Barry County) Circuit Court.
